Everything you need to know about using JizaiLog.

Getting Started

    Download the app

    Get JizaiLog from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android). It's completely free to download.

    Create an account

    Sign up with your email address and a password. No phone number or social accounts required.

    Start your first recording

    Tap the record button and go for a walk. JizaiLog will track your route using GPS. When you're done, tap stop.

Recording

Tap the record button to start tracking your walk. JizaiLog uses your device's GPS to record your route with high accuracy.

  • •Foreground tracking — When the app is open, GPS uses the highest accuracy mode for a precise live route on the map.
  • •Background tracking — Put your phone in your pocket. Recording continues with balanced accuracy to save battery.
  • •Automatic filtering — Inaccurate GPS points (over 30m accuracy) and speed spikes (over 8 m/s) are automatically discarded.
  • •Cloud sync — When you stop recording, your session is automatically synced to the cloud (if configured).

Session Management

After recording, you can manage your sessions in many ways:

View route on map

See your complete route plotted on an OpenStreetMap-based map.

Speed & elevation charts

Visualize your pace and altitude changes throughout the walk.

Rename sessions

Give your walks meaningful names like "Morning walk with Max".

Duplicate sessions

Create a copy of any session to experiment with edits.

Trim route

Remove the end of a route (e.g. if you forgot to stop recording).

Delete sessions

Remove sessions you no longer need from your device and cloud.

Cloud Sync

Paid Feature

Cloud sync is available with the one-time Cloud Unlock payment (¥1,500). Sessions sync automatically after you stop recording. Your GPS data is uploaded to your own Supabase database — not our servers.

  • •Download cloud sessions to any device by logging in with the same account.
  • •Your data stays in your own Supabase database. We never access or store your GPS data.
  • •Cloud sync requires a one-time payment and your own Supabase project. See the Supabase Setup guide.

Auto-Start

Set geofence rules around locations (like your home) to automatically start recording when you leave.

    Set a location

    Choose a point on the map (e.g. your front door) and set a geofence radius.

  2. 2

    Set a time window

    Define the hours when auto-start should be active (e.g. 7:00 AM - 9:00 AM).

  3. 3

    Walk out

    When you leave the geofence area during the time window, recording starts automatically.

One-shot mode: Auto-start rules disable themselves after firing once. You need to re-enable the rule manually for the next time. This prevents accidental recordings.

Organization

Paid Feature

Organizations require the Cloud Unlock payment. Create or join an organization to share sessions with family members, dog walkers, or friends. All members sync to the same Supabase database.

  • •Create an organization and share the invite code with others.
  • •Admins can view all members' sessions and manage the organization.
  • •Chat on sessions with other members. Discuss routes, leave notes, and coordinate plans.
  • •AI chat — Register your own OpenAI (ChatGPT) or Google Gemini API key in Settings. Then use @ai in session chat to get AI-powered analysis of your walks — distance insights, pace tips, route suggestions, and more.

Language

Choose from 8 languages: English, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, French, Portuguese, and Italian.

Backup export/import

Export your entire SQLite database as a backup file. Import it on another device to restore.

GPX import/export

Import GPX files from other apps or export your sessions as GPX for universal compatibility.
